Rules Regulating Admission to the Bar in Indiana: You are responsible to read and understand Admission and Discipline Rule 15. Electronic Communications: All information and announcements are posted on our website at https://myble.courts.in.gov. You are expected to regularly visit the BLE website to review the announcements and information posted there. BLE corresponds with applicants primarily via the online system. You should use an e-mail address that you can access even after graduation from law school. You are required to maintain a current e-mail address and mailing address on your personal BLE Registration Account, and it is imperative that you regularly read all correspondence from this office, whether sent electronically or by postal service. It is your responsibility to ensure that e-mails from BLE are not filtered as spam and to add @myble.courts.in.gov to your e-mail address book. NCBE Number: You will be asked in the application for the bar examination to provide your NCBE number. Request an NCBE number online at http://www.ncbex.org/ncbe-number/. Once you have a NCBE number you will use the same number no matter where you are sitting for the MBE. Filing Deadlines and Fees: Review the fee schedule and filing deadlines Proper Application Filing Process: For your application to be properly filed, you must submit the electronic application, prescribed filing fee, authorization and release form, and certified driving record uploaded by the proper filing deadline, and any additional information required as listed in the application based on your answers. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted. Your application is not considered complete until the application is submitted, payment is made, additional documents uploaded.
Application filing fees must be paid electronically. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Electronic (E-check) checks. If you are unable to pay via one of these payments, please contact our office.
You are required to upload a recent photo prior to submission of your application that is at least 300 pixels by 300 pixels. A new picture must be uploaded each exam cycle. The photo must also meet the following requirements:

Orientation
Background
Glasses
Expression
1. All applicants are required to submit their fingerprints for each exam session to the Indiana State Police for a criminal history report. The Indiana State Police will send the criminal history report directly to the Board of Law Examiners. 2. In order for you to be eligible to sit for the Indiana bar examination, it is necessary for the Board of Law Examiners to receive your criminal history report (fingerprint report) from the Indiana State Police prior to the exam. 3. If your criminal history report is not received by the Board of Law Examiners prior to the exam, your application will be deemed incomplete and you will not be eligible to sit for the exam. 4. It may take the Indiana State Police several weeks to generate and send the Board of Law Examiners a criminal history report, so it is important that you submit your fingerprints to the Indiana State Police as soon as possible. 5. If you have questions about the process, please contact MorphoTrust USA at (877) 472-6917. The report goes directly to the State Police and we are not able to provide you with any status updates once you have submitted your fingerprints. You will have to contact them directly. 6. 1. Applicants requesting testing accommodations on the bar examination must submit an Application for Testing Accommodations. 2. The Application for Testing Accommodations must be submitted with the application for admission upon examination. If you are requesting Administrative Accommodations, you must upload the form immediately after submission.
• Certified driving record printouts from all jurisdictions in which you have held a driver’s license during the past five years are required for each bar examination.
1. The Indiana State Board of Law Examiners is allowing applicants to use their personal laptop computers to complete their answers to the essay (MPT and Indiana Essay Questions) portion of the bar exam. The cost for participating in the laptop testing program will be $110 in addition to the bar exam registration fee and is to be paid directly to ILG Exam360. Do NOT send these funds to our office. You will be notified by ILG Exam360 where to send the funds approximately one month prior to the Exam. 2. All applicants' names will be sent to ILG Exam360. When registration is open, they will contact you via the e-mail address you supplied when registering for the Exam. If you choose to not participate, simply do not register. 3.
